Viverra leakeyi

Viverra is a genus of civet that still survives to the modern day. This species however, Viverra leakeyi, is an extinct representative that grew to the size of a small Leopard, making it the largest yet known member of the family. The teeth of Leakey's Civet also suggests it to be more carnivorous than other members of the genus; and possibly served as one of the top predators of its environment in eastern Africa.
